There’s nothing I love more than shopping for swimwear! You’ve booked your holiday, you’re doing the countdown at work and now you have to find your perfect beach partner, your swimwear.
The last few years have seen board shorts dominate the high st. Surfer brands like Quicksilver and O’Neil have seen their styles replicated by high st retailers every summer but this year there’s been a change. For those of you who only feel comfortable in board shorts, don’t panic. There is still a selection available in most stores however the focus is definitely on shorter shorts this summer.
The other major change in men’s swimwear is the design. Hawaiian prints have now moved to shirts, with the recent trend seeing tropical designs on short sleeve shirts across the high st. Prints are still important for men’s swimwear however, although you will see tropical 90′s inspired prints, stripes, Aztec and luxe, Versace inspired designs. Plain designs are equally on trend this year with the focus being towards bright tropical colours and luxury fabrics.
Here are some of my favourite swimwear options available on the high st now.

Love the AllSaints shorts… not sure I can justify £50 for swimshorts though… good find!
